PARTY TRICK :: bright spring goblet arrangements

Guys, we’ve been so knee-deep in flowers these days our heads are spinning with heavenly scents and delicate textures. Recently we have partnered with Bing and Laura Hooper Calligraphy {check out our Instagram for some sneak peeks}, Seattle Bloggers Unite’s workshop at the beautiful Cannelle et Vanille studio, and then of course our wonderful clients – one mega proper English brunch wedding mock-up yielded insane flowers, and a Palm Springs soiree brought us the below vibrant colors that we of course had to turn into a sweet little DIY. We found Oh Joy’s! collection at Target and had to snatch up these cheery little goblets perfect for springtime entertaining. Oh, and our friends at Style Me Pretty Living shared our project, too! Enjoy!

steps to takeFill the vessel 1/2 way with crisp clean water and a tablespoon of 7-up to keep blooms fresh {unless you have floral food}

Clean your stems by removing the base leaves {they’ll rot in the water}

Start by placing largest stems first in the water. Clip the ends at an angle and splice – we placed a hydrangea – and then fill around that first piece with accents

Cluster same elements together – like tulips, spray roses and viburnum – this will help to add interest and vibrancy

Fill in the holes with tulips and larkspur, keeping some height off-kilter. The result will be oh-so lovely blooms perfect for the start of spring!
