Chic Winter Party Inspiration

Hosting gatherings just make us happy. There’s nothing quite like dreaming up festive ideas, sharing delicious recipes with guests, whipping up glittering cocktails and celebrating the season with good food, music and company. But where to begin? Ah, that’s where today’s post comes in: we’re sharing snapshots from a remake of a chic Parisian-inspired holiday table we created for an event two weeks ago. Cheers, friends!

…pick a loose theme and run with it. Often times holiday party decor can easily become a smorgasborg of remnants of ornaments or snippets of unused decor {that’s okay, if that’s what you envision}. Pick a theme based on two or three colors and them use elements from Mother Nature and your entertaining pantry to run with it.

…give guests a warm welcome. You’ve likely heard us say this before, but it’s oh-so true. Welcome guests with a smile and a hug and a warm cocktail or cider. Introduce them if needed and gift a little treat or favor at the start of the night.

…be prepared. Easier said than done? Perhaps. But create a game plan 5 days out from your party so you’ll be sure you have everything you need.

…keep it simple. While we’re known to dream up lavishly yummy menus for our holiday dinner parties, keeping it simple means you can enjoy your guests. Offer heavy bites and stations that can sit out over time.

…bid them adieu. We love to send guests home with a little something, too. Packaged spiced cider, a goodie bag of cookies or an ornament will do the trick.
