Inspired: An Organic Themed Dinner Party

We’re so delighted for Halloween tomorrow! Our costumes are prepped and ready to go {Nick is dressing as a French pastry chef, complete with his brother’s chef’s attire}, Aleah is donning a Parisian artist costume, and our dog Lulu {if she allows} will be a starving artist. Cute, right? We’ll be dressing up the windows at Seattle’s delicious Trophy Cupcakes for the month of November and savoring the holiday as we watch the kiddies trick-or-treat around where we’ll be decorating. Are you trick-or-treating? What are you dressing up as? Do share!

With that being said, as All Hallow’s Eve marks the end of October and the start of the holiday season, ’tis the season for entertaining effortlessly, but with panache. We’ve got a number of dreamy holiday fête and decorating ideas on hand that we can’t wait to share – starting tomorrow when Aleah’s grandma comes to visit {we’re rolling out the Crafting Express!}. Today’s featured shoot embodies so much of what we adore, for the holiday season and for entertaining in general: gorgeous elements, textures, bright flowers and creative aspects, all compiled in a cohesive and elegant fashion. Loosely inspired by a market, we hope you enjoy as much as we do.

The beauty of this inspirational shoot rests within the neutral, yet vibrant details. We’re loving the accents of vintage doilies, the colored glass in pea green and amethyst, and the delightful desserts and flowers galore. Often times simple is so much better and dazzles guests in a classic fashion. Textures can lend so much to a design, like the thistle and beautiful succulents resting so delicately in wooden egg cups.
