Make It: Wine Bottle Candle Holders
Happiest Friday! We made it through the weekend! You might have caught our popular wine bottle glass DIY post last week – well today we’ve got wine bottles on the brain again! Why not recycle bottles for entertaining? Whether you’re making glasses for sipping, mosaic pieces or candle holders, they set a rustic and even romantic mood.
You’ll need: clear wine bottles {or use dark glass if it suits your mood} | tall taper candles {dripless if you’ve got them} | twine | museum gum or hot glue
Step 1: Take your clean and dried wine bottles and dab a bead of hot glue or museum wax at the front center of the bottle. Take your twine and wrap around the bottle, securing in a tight knot. Dab your glue again to secure the knot.
Step 2: take a taper candle and rub it against the inside of the bottle neck to create some friction so the candle won’t lean over. You can also do this with a bit of melted wax. Then put your tapers in place and you’ve got an instant glow!
