Entertaining at Home: Food as Decor
So often entertaining at home calls for simplicity and that plucked-from-the-pantry feeling. But regardless of how effortless a dinner party is, a special setting is key. Making guests feel important and cared for needn’t be difficult or pricey. Look to your pantry to create personalized settings for each guest and let your food do the rest of the talking!
Anchor white plates with striped tea towels as napkins {a favorite trick of ours}, mark each place setting with a print press block and gift guests a little muslin-wrapped cheese wheel with a knife.
Charcuterie {salmis, prosciutto and other meats} do the trick for creating an artistic plate.

What’s your favorite food that doubles as decor?

hmmmm; great ideas, never thought about using meat & cheeses. I love to decorate with edibles also mostly using plenty of in season veggies and fruits on lettuce & kale lined cake plates, etc. Also assorted candy in glass apothecary jars look great with of the season colors and serve a purpose!
