Summer is officially here! As we write up this post we’re glancing out over the Seattle skyline {the Space Needle is glowing orange for its 50th birthday} and Mt. Rainier’s snowy cap is peeking over the hills. The sun is out and the sky is that perfect shade of baby blue. Ah, summer. Cue the road trips, beach cookouts and family fun.
To celebrate the official start of summer and longer, warmer days we’re giving away a copy of Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream book {filled with delicious ice cream eye candy}. What a treat! Molly Moon’s Ice Cream in Seattle is a pretty stellar ice cream shop with four locations in the city and they have a mobile ice cream truck. Love. So here’s to summer, ice cream and all things fun!

I have to say my new favorite ice cream flavor is one I tried while on vacation in Cape Cod this summer – it was cranberry and even included walnuts with bits of cranberry and a vanilla base. Yum. And, if I was to pick a favorite flavor from Molly Moon’s that I’d love to try it would be honey lavender – sounds delicious.
