Make It: Summer Pineapple Sangria

That sweet scent of pineapple brings us back to Hawaii where Nick proposed, and where we love to snorkel and relax just let loose. It’s one of those scents, and fruits, that has a transporting magic about it. If you take a bite and close your eyes you could be anywhere with sand between your toes and palm tree fronts rustling above.  It takes you right to the tropics….

So with summer on the horizon we’re all about refreshing cocktails that can be made in advance that have that magical, transporting taste. Our Summer Pineapple Sangria does just that. It’s slightly sweet, a little fizzy and quite refreshing. The chunks of pineapple add the perfect amount of tropical flavor. Cheers!

Valley & Co.’s Summer Pineapple Lime Sangria

Ingredients: 1 bottle of good red wine {we use a Pinot Noir} | 1 liter of club soda | 2 cups cubed pineapple | 2 sliced limes

Step 1: Place the cubed pineapple and sliced limes into a large pitcher

Step 2: pour the wine into the pitcher atop the fruit then top with the club soda

Step 3: place the pitcher in the refrigerator for about an hour or so before you’re planning to serve

That’s it! An easy-peasy summer cocktail that’s simple to whip up but packs a sweet punch.

What’s your favorite summer cocktail?
