4th of July Fun: Nostalgic Popsicles

Our friends at Betty Crocker shared some delightfully patriotic popsicles with us just in time for the holiday fun. 4th of July is one of those holidays that brings back such a sense of nostalgia and the best memories. Growing up in the Pacific Northwest, we were lucky to spend summers on the beach, complete with beach bonfires, shell and beach glass hunting, summer scavenger hunts and endless days spent just lounging on the beach hunting crab and enjoying family and friends. 4th of July was no exception.

Both of us have family beach retreats we remember spending the long holiday at lighting off sparklers, poppers and fountain fireworks high above the salty sea. Such fond memories.  As the holiday inches nearer we’ll be sharing some of our favorite recipes, starting with these tasty throw-back popsicle recipes. If you recreate any of these be sure to Tweet us a photo or share on our Facebook page! Happy weekend!

These Berry White Sangria Popsicles don’t just sound delicious, they’re nearly too pretty to eat!

Watermelon Mojito Cocktail Pops, anyone? This is the first of these three recipes we’ll be whipping up for the holiday.

These Red, White & Blueberry Lemonade Popsicles would make an impact on a 4th of July picnic table. Place a layer of floral styrofoam {you can pick up at a craft store} on the bottom of a  galvanized bucket and cover with ice. Stick the popsicles into the foam for a sweet and patriotic display.

What fun do you have planned for the holiday? Any favorite tips or tricks you can share?
