Make It: Valley & Co.’s Springtime Lemonade

It’s Wednesday. Wednesday. We’re oh-so close to the weekend, but not there just yet. So our gift to you today is another fantastically delicious cocktail recipe. Just for this Wednesday. Just to put a pep in your cocktail hour step.  This week has been one that’s flown by in a flash of golf clubs, client spreadsheets, balancing, springtime prepping, curating for events, pitching of wonderful ideas and goals, and sunshine. Not too shabby!

For Valley & Co.’s Springtime Lemonade you’ll need: Mr. Valley’s Herbes de Provence | simple syrup {sugar and water} | vodka | lemonade | ice | cucumber

For Nick’s Herbes de Provence Simple Syrup: you’ll need: 2 Cups water | 1 cup sugar | 1/2 tablespoon herbs de Provence {thyme, lavender, basil, and fennel}

Bring 2 cups of water to a boil and stir in the sugar and herbs, quickly stirring. Immediately turn the heat to low {do not let the sugar boil} and continue stirring until the syrup thickens. Strain the liquid through cheese cloth or a strainer to catch the herbs.

Step 1: Pour about 1/2 simple syrup into a tall pilsner glass and top with 1 oz. vodka

Step 2: top with lemonade {fizzy if you prefer that – we’d use Limonata} and ice

Step 3: garnish with a slice of cucumber

Tadah! It’s so so utterly refreshing. We hope you enjoy as much as we do!
