Make It: Rosemary-Infused Sea Salt
Hopefully by now, our dear readers, you’re getting to know more about us. What makes us tick. That our families, traditons {both old and new}, inspiring, handmaking, and putting a personal touch on most everything we do, is so important to us. We’re loving the feedback and seeing our ideas pinned on Pinterest and shared on Facebook. It makes us smile to know {and hope} that we’re inspiring you with effortless entertaining ideas and DIY projects that are suitable for any person, whether an expert or novice crafter or entertainer. Today’s project is no exception. Rosemary-infused sea salt is one of those novelties that brings back a memory of fresh roasted potatoes coated in glistening olive oil and accented with fresh rosemary.
This is a wonderful delight to make and to keep on hand for cooking – on root vegetables, atop a crusty baguette, and as marinades on white fish. Furthermore, these are a charming and thoughtful take-home favor for wedding or dinner party guests!
You’ll need: about 1 pound of sea salt or kosher salt | 10 rosemary sprigs | a glass container
Put your sea salt and rosemary in a sauté pan and warm up for about 15 minutes. Then discard the rosemary and pour salt into individual containers.
Add fresh sprigs to your containers and seal them.
Top with a round of fabric and baker’s twine and your rosemary-infused sea salt is ready for the giving!
