Make It: Patterned Painted Clothespins
The design got us thinking about how much patterns can really add to a space or to our routines.
Aleah’s all about patterns these days. New 2012 client folders and note takers have darling leafy prints and Chevron accents, and from whimsical polka dots to botanical prints and fern-inspired patterns to fresh and clean stripes, there’s something so cutesy and fun about patterns. What better way to effortlessly dress up note taking, a bulletin board, or even to wrap up snack than with patterned wooden clothespins?
You’ll need: wooden clothespins {we found a package of 50 at Target for under $2} | sponge brush | navy and green wood craft paint | white paint
Paint a thick layer of paint on the front of a clothespin. We let it dry and layer a second coat on as well.
Once dry use the white paint to create dots and thin lines across the pin. Use bright colors that white will stand out against.
What a fun collection, right?
…and there you have it! A darling idea to dress up letters and cards, handmade gifts, and to use in your office or kitchen. You can also go a step further and adhere tiny magnets to the back to use on the fridge.

Those turned out so cute! What a great idea!
So crafty!
