Hostess Gift: Lemons & Provencal Linens

Another week has begun and, much like last week, we’re still in the mindset that it’s some other day than Tuesday. Yesterday was a flurry of cocktail recipes, napkin adornments, place settings, and crafty DIY projects as we brought more of our original ideas to life for this blog. We can’t wait to share them with you and thank you so much for your readership. What a treat to see our ideas shared on Facebook and Twitter and Pinterest!

Today’s projects is simple and sweet: sunny lemons wrapped in a gorgeous kitchen cloth like our Provençal linen. While much of the country is digging out from feet of snowy fluff it’s hard to imagine that a fresh season is on the horizon. But we’re excited for spring and all it means: the start of growth. Spring cleaning. Fresh ideas. The movement and sunnier longer days. The thought that summer is also on its tail.

For this idea you’ll need: lemon {or apples or oranges} | a large kitchen napkin.

Lay out the napkin or kitchen towel flat and place the mound of citrus in the center. Pull up two adjacent sides together and tie a big knot.

Pull up the remaining two ends and cinch over the top of the first knot. The result is a secure pouch that does double duty: gift wrap and a gift!

Pretty darling, right? The list goes on: you could do the same with tea towels and scones or cookies…

Are you a fan of at-the-ready entertaining or are you a planner at heart? Are you looking forward to spring entertaining or still enjoying the throes of winter?
