Effortless Entertaining: Slabs of Carrera Marble

Happy Thursday, friends! We hope your mid-week has been fantastic – let the countdown for the weekend begin! We’ve been enjoying Palm Springs and the warmth – last night’s Exquisite Weddings Magazine mixer at the Viceroy was fantastic. It was desert chic, gorgeous, and was filled with just great company – old friends and new. We can’t wait to share some snapshots! In the meantime, we’re sitting back unwinding with a glass of vino writing to you and then we’ll be off prepping for our early morning photo shoot back at the Viceroy. Think citrus, mod, classic, glamorous, and just beautiful!

Until then, please enjoy this effortless entertaining vignette. We get asked quite a bit how we celebrate things, how we dress our table for dinner parties, and if {as we plan parties for a living} it’s always just fun fun. Well yes. We try to make life fun fun. But we also enjoy the simple things often. Like noshing European-style on a crusty baguette, some paper-thin salami, and Kalamata olives and sipping on wine out of miniature bistro glasses. It brings us right back to fond memories of Europe and doing much of the same in places like Cinque Terre, San Remo, and Nice. Oh, to be back roaming the seemingly ageless villages tasting food that’s been curated the same way for generations and generations……
For this type of meal recreate at home with perhaps one of the jazziest {yes, jazziest!} ways to showcase pure and simple delicious food: on a slab of Carrera marble. Can you really get any more perfect than this? We dressed up this delectable meal with sprigs of rosemary, a drizzle of olive oil, and a crunch of sea salt {which was barely needed}.

Sometimes it’s all about savoring the delights in life. The simple things are often the most memorable. The most enjoyable. And the ones that bring people together with their simplicity. And how beautiful is this?

Entertaining tip: welcome guests to their place at your table with their own mini marble “plate” filled with incredibly fresh food. {Hint: you can find these marble tiles at Home Depot for about $6 a piece!} Adhere a layer of felt or thin cork with glue to make it table-top safe.

Ah…here’s wishing you a Thursday and weekend ahead filled with the simplest of delights. After all, those are what make life truly enjoyable!
