Holiday Entertaining Tips: Making Memories
Making memories. That’s what the holidays are all about, right? Or at least they should be! We’re big proponents of really bringing out the big guns and pushing our creative ideas when we entertain. This year be prepared with some of our entertaining tips and DIY projects like these from our December San Diego Magazine Entertaining Column {stay tuned for recipes!}. We guarantee you’ll look like a party connoisseur!
Go all out. Really. Deck out your holiday table top to the nines with cocktail and decadent garnishes, sparkly accessories, and party favors. Keep in mind that going all out certainly doesn’t mean breaking the bank. Small details go a long way!
Dazzle your guests with DIYs: ask your guests to write their holiday and New Year’s wishes and things they’re grateful for on a small piece of paper {1″ x 6″} with white ink. Cinch up and stow in a champagne bottle {Veuve will do!} to look back on the following year.
Spray paint artichokes gold and dot down your table for an unexpected touch. We paired ours with white artichoke statues from a home goods store. To us artichokes are representative of a new year.
