Recipe: Tropical Harvey Wallbanger
Wow. We’re well into Hanukkah and this close to Christmas and 2012! We’re busy prepping our home for family and getting ready to head to visit family, too. It really is the most wonderful time of the year. In continuing our Holiday Cocktail Week, we’re sharing our spin on the classic cocktail Harvey Wallbanger. We’re punching it up with POG juice instead of traditional orange juice for a taste of the tropics. Paired with the subtle bite of licorice it’s a unique flavor that’s quite enjoyable {and festive}!
We always like to jazz up our cocktails with some eye candy. Hence the star anise. Not only to they mimic the licorice hint of the Galliano, but they resemble little stars in the crisp clear winter night sky, don’t they?
This Christmas we’ll be enjoying an assortment of libations and a menu curated by Aleah and her parents and some recipes from Yours Truly – Valley & Co.! Cue the wine {obviously}, spiked egg nog, spiked apple cider, and mimosas. Whew, it’s going to be an exciting weekend.
