Make It: DIY Sea Glass Ornaments
Being from Washington State and having family homes on the coast, we are both fortunate to have collections of treasures from the sea. Sea glass is one of our favorite bits of goodness to collect and we look for it on any beach we visit. Always having a love of the coast, back in university Aleah’s mom made us some beautiful teeny tiny seashell glass ornaments wrapped in twine and this is our spin on that festive holiday idea {they still sit on our tree at Christmastime!}. Thanks, mom! You’re always so inspiring!
You’ll need: glass ornaments {ours are from a 6-pack at Michael’s} | sea glass and tiny shells | velvet ribbon
Fill your ornament with sea glass and shell remnants and close the top. Feed the two ends of the ribbon through the loop in the hanger and pull nearly through. Bring the ends over and under the loop and pull tightly.
It’s really as simple as that! Who woudn’t love to receive a thoughtful gift from the sea for the holidays?
